Taylor Ho is a respected leader and veteran coach in Northern California’s club volleyball community, bringing over 13 years of coaching and leadership experience to the launch of his newest venture — Tyrants Volleyball Club. About Paolo

Paolo Castillo is a dedicated coach and leader with nearly 10 years of experience in Northern California’s volleyball scene. As the founder of Tyrants Volleyball Club, he is committed to creating an environment that prioritizes elite training, opportunity, and strong character. Paolo has a proven track record of leading teams to success and developing high-level athletes for collegiate competition. A Bay Area native, his lifelong love for volleyball drives his commitment to helping players reach their highest potential. Outside of coaching, Paolo works in biotech, contributing to advancing cancer research. He is a graduate of UC Davis and holds master’s degrees from both UC Berkeley and USC. He is excited to build a program that not only promotes the high-level technical development of its athletes but also fosters a strong, family-like club culture.

About Youki

Youki Bradley was born in Los Angeles and raised in the Walnut Creek area. She played all four years of high school volleyball on the varsity team at Las Lomas High School. Her junior year of high school, her high school team won the North Coast Section and finished 4th in the state. Youki played 7 years of club volleyball in the NCVA, starting from the age of 11 years old. As a club player, her teams qualified for the Junior National Tournament during her  seasons from her 13s to her final 18s season.

Coaching & Leadership Experience

Youki has been a club coach since she was 18 years old. It became her second job once she graduated high school. She has coached both boys and girls volleyball for a number of high schools and clubs in the East Bay area. Seven of the teams she has coached in the past 9 years have been Junior National Qualifying teams.

Youki previously spent four years running the Girls and Boys volleyball program at Clayton Valley Charter High School as the Varsity Head Coach until the Spring of 2021.

Most recently Youki finished coaching three seasons at Red Rock Volleyball Club. She was the assistant to Girls 14-1 Taylor team in 2023- 2024, who double-qualified for nationals and finished 3rd in NCVA.  She was also the assistant coach to Red Rock Boys 18-Taylor. This team went to Junior Nationals and brought home a bronze medal in 2023 and finished 5th at nationals in the summer 2024!

She hopes to continue pursuing coaching club volleyball as a career, and will one day open an animal rescue to help provide sanctuary to any animal in need. Youki is looking forward to joining Tyrants for their inaugural season!

About Alejandro

Alejandro Luna-Victoria is a Bay Area Native who grew up in Redwood City. He has almost a decade of experience as a player and coach. He played at Sequoia High School and Bay to Bay Volleyball Club, competing as both an outside hitter and a middle blocker, and has coached at both the high school and club levels. 

He is currently a San Jose State University student studying Kinesiology with a specialty in Rehabilitation Science. He hopes to play on the San Jose State club team this fall. After graduating, Alejandro plans to go to Southern California and get his doctorate in physical therapy while continuing to coach at a high level. He is also a personal trainer specializing in overall fitness, conditioning, and nutrition. 

Outside of volleyball, Alejandro enjoys working out and anything that involves music, and is always looking for new ways to stay active and enjoy life. 

His positive energy and experience show in the way he coaches. He takes pride in helping athletes grow not only as players but also as individuals. He is excited to be part of the Tyrants Volleyball family and looks forward to helping each player reach their full potential.

About Josh “JJ”

Josh Jung, known as "JJ," is a San Francisco native with 19 years of volleyball coaching experience. A proud Lowell High School alumnus (Class of 2008), JJ has dedicated much of his career to coaching within SFUSD, with the majority of his time spent back at Lowell. His track record speaks for itself — in 2019, he served as assistant coach for the D3 State Champion Lowell Girls Volleyball team, and in 2022, helped lead Marin Catholic HS to the NCS D2 Girls Volleyball Championship as an assistant. He currently serves as the Head Coach of the Women's Volleyball team at CCSF.

As a coach, JJ's mission is to inspire and motivate his athletes to become the best versions of themselves — pushing them to work hard, stay disciplined, and pursue their goals with purpose. He is grateful for the many coaches he has worked alongside throughout his career, drawing from those experiences to shape and refine his coaching philosophy into what it is today.

When he's not on the court, JJ is a die-hard Golden State Warriors and San Francisco 49ers fan. You can also find him gaming, watching movies, or reciting Ted Lasso motivational speeches from memory.

About Shane

Shane Dunlevie is a Bay Area local with over eight years of competitive volleyball experience. He began his career playing four years of high school volleyball at Menlo-Atherton High School before continuing his passion at Arizona State University, where he competed for four years on the men’s club team. Throughout his playing career, Shane developed versatility on the court, gaining experience as a Middle, Opposite, and Outside hitter. While at ASU, he also served as a practice player for the women’s Division I team and coached an 18s boys club team, further expanding his knowledge and understanding of the game. Shane brings a strong foundation in both playing and coaching and is excited to share his experience and enthusiasm with the Tyrants Volleyball Club.

About Azariah

Azariah is a Bay Area native, raised in Alameda, CA. He graduated from Encinal High School and went on to play college volleyball at Orange Coast College. He later transferred to San Jose State University, where he majored in Communications.

Coaching & Leadership Experience

With 8 years of coaching experience, Azariah Hill has established a strong presence in the Northern California volleyball community. He is a former coach at Red Rock Volleyball Club, where he played a key role in developing elite-level athletes. Currently, he serves as the Boys Volleyball Director at Berkeley High School, leading one of the top public-school programs in the Bay Area.

Azariah is also the founder and owner of Haus of Barbz, which includes Barbz Academy—a high-level training program focused on youth and adult skill development—and Playhaus Tournaments, a competitive series drawing talent from across the country. His passion for the game, combined with his innovative approach to training and community-building, continues to shape the next generation of volleyball athletes.

About Jordan

Jordan Bateman is a passionate and dedicated volleyball coach who has been actively involved in the South Bay volleyball community for more than a decade. His coaching journey began shortly after high school, running volleyball camps and developing young athletes, and has since evolved into leading high-level teams at Eclipse Volleyball Club.

Jordan began his playing career as a sophomore at Branham High School, where he quickly became a key contributor to the program. Throughout his high school career, he successfully transitioned between multiple positions, playing middle blocker, opposite hitter, and ultimately outside hitter. He continued his development with Bay to Bay Volleyball Club, competing on both the 17s and 18s teams. During his senior season, Jordan served as captain of the varsity volleyball team, earned First Team All-League honors, and helped lead his team to an undefeated 14–0 league record.

After high school, Jordan earned his Bachelor's degree in Public Health and is currently pursuing further education to become a Radiologic Technologist. His passion for volleyball continued beyond college, competing in numerous open-level tournaments and playing with a local semi-professional VLA team against many NCAA Division I athletes.

As a coach, Jordan is committed to helping athletes grow both on and off the court. He emphasizes skill development, teamwork, accountability, and confidence, striving to equip players with tools that will benefit them not only in volleyball but throughout their lives.

Joey discovered volleyball at age 13, and that early connection to the game has shaped his approach to coaching ever since. Having played both in high school and college, he brings a player's perspective to every practice and match.

At Foothill High School, Joey started on Varsity as a sophomore at Outside Hitter and helped lead the team to its first NCS Division 1 title, an experience that instilled in him the value of discipline, preparation, and team first thinking. He carried those principles into his college career at Holy Names University.

His coaching career began while he was still in college, and since 2008 he has worked to build that same foundation in his own players. With two decades of experience playing and coaching the game, Joey emphasizes strong fundamentals, mental toughness, and a team culture built on accountability and trust. For him, coaching is about more than wins. It's about helping athletes develop the skills and mindset to compete at a high level while growing as teammates and individuals.

Jonathan Santos is an experienced coach and decorated former collegiate libero who brings over a decade of high-level playing and coaching experience to the volleyball community. About Dylan 

Dylan is an avid volleyball coach and player who has been around the game for over a decade. He grew up in Southern California where he played club volleyball for Mamba Sports Academy and Newbury Park High School. Dylan went on to play middle for Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston, MA), a NCAA DIII program. Dylan has competed in the VLA post-grad and continues to play as much volleyball as he can!

Dylan has been coaching volleyball since his junior year of college and is now heading into his his 4th season. 

• Head Coach of MVP Academy 18-Blue (Boston) in 2024/2025. Helped them qualify for nationals.

About Andres

Andres brings over a decade of volleyball experience and five years of club coaching experience from Garden State Elite Volleyball Club (GSEVC), where he coached both boys and girls teams. Along with his coaching background, Andres remains an active competitor in the Volleyball League of America (VLA), a national semi-professional league.

Passionate about player development, Andres is committed to helping athletes build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for the game. His coaching philosophy emphasizes effort, discipline, and continuous growth, encouraging players to reach their full potential both on and off the court.

About Riley

Riley grew up in the Bay Area and has been around volleyball since she was 8 years old. She established herself in the club volleyball world by playing two years of 12U at Red Rock Volleyball Club then went on to play the rest of her club career at Vision Volleyball Club as a libero and occasional OH. She has won multiple national qualifiers, earned first in the NCVA four times including a perfect league record her 15U year, and qualified for nationals six times in the Open and National divisions. She also was a four-year varsity DS/Libero at Menlo School and was a member of the only team to win the state championship in Menlo School history in 2016. Whilst attending Tulane University and majoring in neuroscience and biochemistry, she played club volleyball traveling to various states to compete against other schools every year.

Since returning to the Bay Area from New Orleans, Riley has coached 2 seasons of girls at Red Rock and will begin her third season at Vision. She has since returned to Menlo to coach the high school varsity program as well as the 6th-8th grade teams. She has one season of boys coaching experience under her belt serving as Taylor’s assistant to their 14U team’s 5th place overall finish at the 2025 AAU Nationals.

About BJ

BJ Sidhu is a Northern California native who grew up in Auburn, CA and recently made the move to San Francisco. He played four years of varsity volleyball at Placer High School while also competing as a libero for Northern California Volleyball Club (NCVC) in Sacramento throughout his high school career. He went on to attend UC Santa Cruz.

With nearly a decade of coaching experience spanning middle school, high school, and club levels, BJ brings a wealth of knowledge and a player-first approach to everything he does. He is deeply committed to player development, focusing on building strong fundamentals, competitive mindset, and a love for the game that extends beyond the court.

BJ is excited to bring his passion and experience to the Tyrants Volleyball family and looks forward to helping each athlete reach their highest potential.

About Paige

Paige is a Bay Area native who has played volleyball since age 10, finishing her club career competing for Rage Westside Volleyball Club as a pin. While in college, she coached seasonally at Red Rock from 2021 to 2025, working with multiple boys teams under Paolo Castillo. She prides herself on being a technically focused coach, helping athletes understand how technique informs physical outcomes and strategy.

Paige played NCAA collegiate volleyball at Pomona College as an outside hitter and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Throughout her career she started all four years, was named captain beginning in her sophomore year, and holds the program record for career kills at 1151. Paige is now pursuing a Master's in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University.

About Brian

Brian Baltazar is a passionate coach from San Jose, CA. Driven always by a love for learning, language, and art across his roles, he works to create access to a highly privatized and increasingly technicalized sport through knowledge sharing, learning adaptability, and specialized drills. Although only beginning his coaching career in recent years, Brian has been playing volleyball for over a decade and a half, and finds joy in helping shape the next generation of passionate volleyball players.

Outside of volleyball, Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard College and works in data analysis as he pursues his PhD. He prioritizes being active, from running and hiking to biking and playing volleyball, but ensures to make time for art: reading books and essays, watching films and television, attending musicals and concerts, and walking through museums and gardens.

About Sydney 

Sydney is a recent UC Riverside graduate who has been playing volleyball since 2016. She has played three years at San Mateo High School’s varsity team and three years on her University's Club team. While at UC Riverside’s Women’s Volleyball Club, Sydney has held positions as Social and Recruitment Chair, as well as External President. In between her time from school, Sydney has volunteered as a coach for a non-profit organization, mentoring youth and supporting their athletic development. 

Sydney is excited to be part of the Tyrants team and its positive, competitive culture. She is passionate about helping players reach their full potential, both on and off the court, by fostering skill development, confidence, teamwork, and personal growth. Sydney looks forward to supporting athletes as they strive to improve as volleyball players and as individuals.
